Train the trainer – Pruning Workshop
Carol Ponchet will be leading this workshop. She is an experienced arborist and well known in these parts for her skills. Carol has delivered many pruning workshops over the years and we are very lucky to have her.
We will review the various scenarios involved with assessing when a tree needs to be pruned and how to approach it.
The benefits of pruning will be reviewed, as well as a closer look at all the tools available to do a good job and how to maintain them.
By the end of this workshop, you should feel confident pruning a tree and coaching others on how to do it properly.
RSVP required. Free to members. $10 Membership to MASH can be purchased on spot.
If you have any pruning tools, please bring them.
This is a hands-on workshop. We will be outside in the garden using tools so dress appropriately.

Please arrive on time and if you have never come to Bulkley Canyon Ranch before, please allow yourself extra time. Bulkley Canyon Road meets Highway 16 and is between Suskwa Forest Service Rd and Ross Lake Provincial Park road (Birch Rd). There is a left hand turn that puts you onto Bulkley Canyon Station Road but the sign is a little confusing and you might think you are on Cameron Road. Our road goes down hill towards the river and there are only two properties on this stretch of road. We are at the very end – clearly marked and a big gate. There is only room for 6 people in this workshop and we are full up now – please do not show up expecting to participate if you are not already registered. We hope to offer another pruning workshop before the end of March/April so watch for our announcement.
