About our instructor:
Anu Jolliffe founded Grey Sky Tech and is a business operations consultant with over 30 years of experience across various sectors, including agriculture, hospitality, manufacturing, construction, transportation and logistics, IT and financial services, government, and defence. His extensive career encompasses a range of business functions such as operations, project management, accounting, procurement, vendor relations, customer service, IT, marketing, and sales.
Anu holds several technology certifications, is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a QuickBooks ProAdvisor. He focuses on a common-sense approach to accounting and bookkeeping and the practical application of technology-driven solutions to streamline business processes, reduce digital debt, and enhance overall efficiency. Anu aims to develop effective business strategies that create lasting value for small and medium-sized businesses.
Anu was raised on a family farm in rural Ontario, where he developed a solid understanding of circular economy principles and environmental sustainability. Recently, he has furthered his commitment to sustainability by completing the Applied Circular Economy: Zero Waste Buildings micro-credential program at BCIT. Additionally, he has become a Coast Waste Management Association member, where his company, Grey Sky Tech, serves as the official IT subject matter expert.
Some of his accomplishments include introducing dial-up internet and high-speed wireless services to the Southern Gulf Islands in the mid-1990s. In the early 2000s, he implemented remote work solutions and VOIP phone systems. As Chief Technology Officer, he facilitated the exponential growth of a British Columbia-based transportation company, transforming it from a regional to a national presence in the early 2010s. Additionally, in 2017, he helped establish an offsite construction company specializing in sustainable panelized structural steel framing.
