Community Composting Convergence
This first-ever Composting Convergence in Northwest BC will bring together folks with all levels of experience – from zero to over three decades, from PhDs in Soil Science to avid gardeners.
Join us as we explore new and old programs in small communities across BC including Masset (Haida Gwaii), Williams Lake and New Hazelton. We will learn about operating permits and quality assurance tests for finished compost, and hear stories of community engagement and equipment pros and cons. Guided tours of local composting operations will be offered in the afternoon of Day Two.
To ensure as many stories as possible can be shared, attendance will be limited to 30 people so don’t wait to register. Registration is on a sliding scale from $0 to $100. Lodging and Dinner Tickets are extra.
Final Agenda for Community Composting Convergence
Many thanks to the BC Ministry of Agriculture for covering travel expenses of our keynote speakers and to the Vancouver Foundation for providing support materials related to Shifting the System and for core funding that allows MASH to operate and offer community programming.
Registration is required by February 23 to help us with planning including room set up and food.
Tickets can be purchased through EventBrite with a credit card using the Register Now button on this page OR you can contact us directly and pay through E-transfer to save on the extra charges.
