On March 10 and 11, 2025 community composting operators from around Northern BC gathered in the Hazeltons to share stories, receive technical training, and build relationships. This event was funded by the BC Ministry of Agriculture’s Knowledge and Technology Transfer Program with additional sponsorship by the Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine. The presentations for that event are posted here, together with a three page summary report of the event. We are grateful to our hosts, Kispiox River Lodge for taking care of us with comfortable lodging and delicious food and hope to make this an annual event. In the meantime, we’ll be meeting virtually at least twice a year, with the first meeting scheduled for May 20.
