Emergency Response
Supporting Our Community in Times of Need
At MASH, we understand the importance of being prepared for emergencies such as flooding, wildfires, and other critical situations. Our dedicated team is here to provide essential support and resources to help you navigate these challenging times.
Our Emergency Services Include:
- Wildfire Preparedness and Response: We offer community wildfire preparedness events to educate and assist residents in firesmarting their properties. Our wood chipping services are available to help reduce fire hazards by chipping and composting prunings.
- Flood Response: During flooding events, we can help round up a team to provide support with sandbagging, debris removal, and other essential services to protect your property and ensure safety.
- Livestock Evacuation and Care: We have a livestock trailer available for rent to assist with the evacuation of animals during emergencies. Our team is experienced in handling livestock and can provide safe transportation and temporary housing.
- Referral Services: If we are unable to provide the specific assistance you need, we can refer you to other trusted organizations and resources that can help. Our network includes various emergency response teams and support services to ensure you receive the necessary aid.
Additional Services:
- Mobile Abattoir and Cut and Wrap Services: Coming fall 2025. In collaboration with the Small Scale Meat Producers Association of BC, we plan to offer emergency mobile abattoir services and cut and wrap services for livestock. This ensures that meat is not wasted during emergencies and can be safely processed for personal consumption.
- Community Support and Resources: We are committed to supporting our community through various initiatives, including benefit concerts to raise funds for emergency supplies and hosting training sessions for emergency preparedness.
